On 12/23, Our grandson Markyus "Ky" Lard lost his mother in an apartment fire that started in another unit. He nearly lost his life and is fighting daily while in critical condition. He is suffering from 2nd and 3rd-degree burns to 25% of his body. The good news is that he was fully approved by the Shriner's Hospital in Galveston, TX which has the best pediatric burn unit in the world. The bad news is that Medicaid has denied his medical transport expenses. We're raising funds in hopes to be able to pay Ky's medical transport expenses and other things Medicaid won't cover. This is very important because Ky will have access to some of the best pediatric burn specialists in the world as well as some of the best technology to treat his injuries and ensure a bright future.
