The Road to Recovery - IATSE Sister

For anyone that does not know Krysia, she is a Set Dresser in the Iatse 891 Union. She is wildly witty, astonishingly brilliant, and she always shows up when you need her. Living an active lifestyle, with her husband Doug, she often goes hunting, fishing or skiing. Krysia loves her job and is one of the hardest working people we know.
I am writing this because on January 16th Krysia was struck from behind by a moving vehicle. As you can imagine, she didn’t stand much of a chance.
Krysia's body impacted with the car with enough force to break the windshield before she was thrown nearly two car lengths down the road. First responders and witnesses of the accident have described it as utterly devestating.
Although her injuries are extensive, (both legs were broken multiple times, her collarbone, elbow, a fractured neck and back, bumps, bruises, and stitches) the doctors have high hopes of her walking again! The good news is on hold as we are still greatly concerned about her recovery, it is going to be a long and painful journey.
Nothing would make Krysia happier than to go back to work. To do that she needs access to as much medical attention she can get. That attention that costs money, money that you get from working, which she cannot do.
That is where you come in! Yes, you can make a difference in Krysia’s recovery. Anything that you can contribute will be put towards her visiting the best physicians. Physicians that are going to help her learn how to utilize her body again as it has been permanently altered. We are hoping to raise $5,000.00 to get her started after she is released from the hospital (something doctors are estimating won't be for another 5-6 weeks as she has many more surgeries scheduled and needs healing time between them) with the very best of rehabilitation to get this amazing girl back on her feet as soon as possible.
