The tragic events of March 27th led to the loss of a much loved sister, daughter and young mother Kymberlee Larsen to a senseless act of domestic violence. As the perpetrator continued on his brutal spree, the victim's sister, Chelsea Larsen, and mother, Julianna Flowers, were critically injured as the altercation continued.
Kym Larsen leaves behind a two month old son, and will be greatly missed as his sole comfort, and most dear caretaker. Her life was short, but touched many, and she will live on in those who loved her most.
The indelible mark that these devastating events will have on this family will last a lifetime, but as a community we can rally together to meet their immediate needs as they grieve.
Thankfully, community support and programs will cover the cost of much of the funeral expenses, so the funds raised can go to the cemetery costs and Celebration of Life event, as well as the overall well being of the remaining family. The immediate needs of the family include:
1. Cemetery and headstone arrangements for Kym
2. Ongoing medical expenses and therapies for the family
3. Additional funeral costs and arrangements relating to Kym
4. Ongoing expenses for Kym's two month old son, as the family takes on sole custody (roughly $5,000 for his first year of life).
5. Any remaining funds will be set aside for Donovan's well being and education.
As the news continues to unfold after this cruel act, we ask that you hold the family in your thoughts, say a prayer, and please give what you can to make their lives, and those touched by this tragedy, peace of mind as they work towards recovery and through great sorrow.
