Hi I am Louise Duchesneau, Kylie Rae's god-mother. I am starting this fundraiser to help Kylie achieve her dream of becoming a Broadway Star. We all know Kylie and what she has achieved in her life. I am giving you an overview of her life from her momma's point of view.
Kylie Rae Jones is soon to be 15 years old. Her life has been quite a journey so far. At the age of 2, she was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). Treatment would be a grueling 2 3/4 years long. Two weeks into treatment, she lost her ability to walk and we came very close to losing her to Sepsis. She was hospitalized for 3 months. She was just a toddler, but she handled it all with such grace and courage. On October 22, 2017, she was 10 years cancer free.
Almost to the day, 10 years after the Leukemia diagnosis, she was diagnosed with Cushing's disease and a tumor in her pituitary gland in the frontal lobe of her brain. At 12 years old she was in the fight of her life with a second life threatening disease. After she had the brain surgery to remove the tumor, she became adrenal insufficient. This disease reeked so much havoc on her that it took two years to cure her and her body to recover. As of January 2, 2018, she was cured, another battle fought and won.
She lost so much with both of these diseases. Both times she crumbled and had to put herself back together again. They kept her from doing what she wanted and being who she wanted to be. She has struggled most of her short life. She never gave up. She is the epitome of strength and courage. She's our HERO.
Something the diseases could not steal from her were her dreams and her love of music. Kylie was blessed with a beautiful voice. She's been singing on a stage and acting in plays and musicals since she was 6 years old. She is at home on a stage and dreams of being on Broadway.
Now Kylie Rae has been given a great opportunity...I mean she has earned a great opportunity because of all her hard work..
Open Jar institute from New York City came to Merritt Island High School where Kylie is a 9th grade student in the Fame Academy. She did a 3 hour audition for them that consisted of her singing a solo and learning and performing choreography. She was one of 60 kids chosen from around the world. This is an amazing opportunity for Kylie. She will be in NYC for 7 days learning from top Broadway celebrities and will have the opportunity to audition for NY casting agents. Kylie's tuition is $1775.00 and her room that Misty and her will stay in is $1980.00. Let's help her do this. We can all be a part of a wonderful thing in Kylie's life, the beginning of her future. The money is due by May 4, 2018...So lets get this done.
I was with Misty when Kylie was sick, during her surgeries and I have watched her grow into this beautiful young lady. She has fought her whole life for everything, I mean everything. She never gives up and keeps on going... She is truly my HERO.
Lets do this for her.... We can all be a part of a great life changing moment for Kylie...
