My cousin, Kylia Van Wyk, has dedicated her life to saving others' lives. Now she needs your help.
For the past two years, Kylia has served with an organization that locates and removes landmines left over from forgotten wars and conflicts around the world. In August, she was diagnosed with Stage 1 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
What started as a trip to the emergency room for stomach pain and difficulty breathing has turned into an all-out war. Doctors found fluid in her lungs, as well as swollen lymph nodes and swollen liver and spleen. Her cancer is aggressive, so she has already started chemotherapy at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Kylia is now waiting for further word at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her family is starting a gofundme account that Kylia can use directly so that family, friends, and co-workers are able to help and support her through this battle.
