Kyle's Hurricane Harvey Texas

Hello all, this is Kyle, I'm now back in Newcastle Washington.  You all know about the terrible destruction in Texas due to Hurricane Harvey. In the next two weeks, I am heading down to Beaumont, Texas, for 10 days to help out with the non-profit, Hands of Light in Action.  Hands of Light in Action was started by Nancy Malone and I know her through a friend of mine who volunteered with a fellow Hands of Light member in Turkey to help fleeing refugees. I will be working with other volunteers to gut houses and sanitize them of mold. This is a grass-roots orginization that relies on volunteers as well as donations. As many of you know, I lived in Texas for some time and while there met some of the friendliest, giving and hospitable people that I have encountered. I'm asking for donations to not only help me get down there and pay for basic expenses like food and water, but also to help buy supplies that are so desperatly needed, such as diapers, hygiene products, non perishable food, dog food, PPE like gloves and tyvek suits.  One of our tasks will be to spray for mold so we will need to buy the solution to put in the pressure washer.  Along with your donations I will also be spending my own money to help out. I want to assure anyone that is able to donate that your money will be spent wisely as well as frugally, to stretch every dollar as far as possible.  Even if it's just $5 or $10 dollars, that would be a huge help. I have set up a Charles Schwab bank account/debit card to make withdrawls from this account to buy the supplies that are so desperatly needed.  No matter how much I raise, I am going to go down and help those that really need it in any way that I can. I feel like in the times we live in helping one another is the best way for us all to unite.
