Kyle Wright's cancer battle
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cathleen Griffith, and Kyle Wright is a dear friend of mine who is battling elevated multiple myeloma, which is a form of blood cancer that affects the plasma cells (which are responsible for making antibodies). Kyle's cancer diagnosis has been sudden and very difficult and has completely caught him off guard and left him and his family in need of some additional help. Because of the incredible people Kyle and his family are, I felt extremely called to set up a Go Fund Me for them, which Kyle has reluctantly let me do because he admittedly doesn't like to ask for help. Kyle is the sole salesperson and owner of his fence company, and his ability to do a lot of the heavy lifting, due to the extreme pain cancer is causing, has already been significantly impacted. Kyle is going to fight this, but he will also need treatment to do so, which will take him away from his work. So many of us want to help but often don't know how to do so, but this is how we can!
I met Kyle years ago when his company, Cowboy Fence and Iron, was doing some fence work for me and my neighbor. I immediately liked Kyle, trusted him and appreciated his light-hearted attitude and positivity. Kyle and I became friends almost instantly, and I have since gotten the chance to know Kyle's beautiful wife Cheryl and his amazing kids, Luke (19) and Grace (17), and to say that their family is a blessing is an understatement. Cheryl is one of the most faithful women I have ever met, and Luke and Grace are phenomenal kids and are both enrolled at Dallas Baptist University.
The Wrights are a crazy (in a good way) bundle of people who run around like the rest of us staying busy, but they've shown up for the seasons of life through homeschooling, bee keeping, chicken raising, gardening, fishing, time together outdoors, and church at First Baptist Church of Dallas, to name a few. They live in Lancaster and have three adorable dogs and have fostered all kinds of creatures and critters throughout the years. They still have family dinners all of the time (Cheryl is a stay at home mom and fantastic cook) despite two kiddos being enrolled at DBU. Kyle is an avid outdoorsman but can't enjoy the things he loves the most right now, and he just wants to fight like heck for the chance to live and provide for his family and return to life.
Anything we can give will alleviate business and financial stress for the family and give Kyle the chance to focus on what matters most.... healing. Thank you so much for everything, please keep Kyle, Cheryl, Luke, and Grace in your prayers, and God bless you all!
