Ky Peterson's Homecoming Care Package

Our goal was to raise $10,000k (or more) in support of Ky. Ky will be stripped of many basic human rights, including the right to find and secure work or housing. We hope to offset those infractions with this fundraiser. The funds raised here will be included in a care package created by learning abolitionist and trans community member Eli Dru and donated directly to Ky. We have worked directly with Ky to correct the description, for him to share his story in his words. 


In 2011, Ky was sentenced to 15 years in prison for defending himself against a sexal assault. In 2016 Ky was the 1st trans man to receive HRT in a Georgia prison. In 2017, Ky and his support team founded Freedom Overground, a non profit that supports incarcerated TLGBQ+ people during and after incarceration. Ky and Freedom Overground have secured hormone replacement therapy & gender affirming medical care & safe housing for dozens of incarcerated TGNC people. After 9 years, 20,000+ petition signatures, & 5,000+ letters to the governor, Ky is home!
