Hey there!
My name is Honey and I am a queer black immigrant in need. I recently broke my ankle while doing something I love-rollerskating- and had to have surgery. I have recently been applying to jobs but will be unable to stand for long hours or transport myself for the following weeks while I heal.
We recently recieved the doctor bill for $40k before insurance is applied. Not the hospital stay or anesthesia or appointments or physical therapy. Just the doctor.
I have decent insurance through my mom but a large amount will still have to be paid out of pocket. I am currently unemployed and my mom works over 60 hours a week to support us as well as my siblings back home in Guinea so we do not have a lot of extra funds.
Anything raised from this will be a huge help to us and help me focus on healing and getting back on my feet. Literally and figuratively.
