</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

<div>Be Jessi’s Hope After the Earthquake in Venezuela
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Deborah Moreno, and I never imagined I would have to write these words.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, I want to share the story of my best friend of 15 years, Jessiree Querales.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After spending several years abroad, Jessi always felt that a part of her heart remained in Venezuela. Earlier this year, she decided to return home to rebuild her life, surrounded by her family, her closest friends, and the people she loved most.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She was living in Los Corales, in the state of La Guaira, one of the areas hardest hit by the devastating earthquake that struck Venezuela on June 24, 2026. Jessi was inside her seventh-floor apartment when the building collapsed, trapping her beneath the rubble.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After hours trapped under the debris, her family finally rescued her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During the collapse, someone she loved deeply lost their life while trying to protect her. They had been living together, and it is a loss that words cannot truly describe.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The earthquake also took everything from her. In a single day, she lost her home, everything she had worked so hard to rebuild, and one of the most important people in her life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The many hours she remained trapped beneath the rubble caused devastating injuries. Despite every effort to save her limbs, severe medical complications made it necessary to amputate one arm and one leg. She has undergone multiple surgeries, continues to require dialysis, and now faces a long and difficult recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She now needs ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, physical therapy, psychological support, prosthetic limbs, medications, transportation to medical appointments, and many other essential treatments. After losing everything, she also has to rebuild her life from the beginning.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jessi and I met in Venezuela in 2012. Even though we later moved to different countries, distance never changed our friendship. We’ve remained best friends through every stage of our lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Watching everything she has gone through from thousands of miles away has been heartbreaking. I wish I could do more for her on my own, but I can’t.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s why I’m organizing this fundraiser together with Jessi’s cousin, Leydis Fuentes, to support her recovery. Donations will be received by Javier Jiménez, who is assisting Leydis with managing this fundraiser on Jessi’s behalf, and will be transferred directly to Jessi and her family as quickly as possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our goal is to give Jessi the chance to focus on healing instead of worrying about how she’ll afford the care she needs or how she’ll rebuild her life after losing everything.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How the Funds Will Be Used:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The funds raised will help support Jessi’s immediate and long-term needs throughout her recovery. For now, this includes medications, medical supplies, and other essential day-to-day expenses related to her care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As she becomes more independent, we also hope to help provide the equipment she will need for her new daily life, including a powered wheelchair, which may be especially important for her mobility after losing an arm and a leg.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Looking further ahead, part of the funds will also be reserved to help with prosthetics and their ongoing needs. Prosthetic limbs require adjustments, maintenance, and may need to be replaced over time as Jessi’s body and needs change.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our goal is to make sure the support raised for Jessi can continue helping her not only through her current hospitalization, but throughout the long process of recovery, rehabilitation, and adapting to her new life
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing Jessi’s story. Your share could reach someone who is able to help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On behalf of Jessi, her family, and everyone who loves her, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, your generosity, and for giving her hope during the most difficult time of her life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for being Jessi’s hope when she needs it most.
</div>
