Paula’s Journey Of Hope

It might sound like a somewhat typical story, sadly. Woman diagnosed with breast cancer goes through treatments & beats it, only to have it come back some years later, this time with a vengeance.
Despite more treatments, this time nothing seems to be working. As a last chance at hope, she seeks expensive alternative treatments in Mexico. For us, it’s anything but typical. It’s dark and it’s scary and it’s our Mom.

Paula beat breast cancer in 2007 and was cancer free for nearly 10 years. With 5 children, the youngest of whom was only 12 at the time, those 10 years meant being there for her children’s birthdays, Christmases, and to welcome a few grandchildren into the world.
My beautiful mother, who has ALWAYS put us first, never complained, and never asked for anything for herself, is in need of some help, but more importantly, some hope. Hope that she can get a few more years with us. To see a few more birthdays and Christmases, to be there for a few more milestones in both her children’s and grandchildren’s lives.

We are hoping to get Paula to Mexico as soon as possible. Obviously a miracle is what we’re hoping for, but regardless of the outcome, we need to know, and she needs to have peace, that no one gave up. That when we needed it most, there was light and help and hope amongst the darkness.
