Building homes in Honduras

Families with young children in a mountain village in Honduras will soon have, for the first time, homes with solid walls, floors, and a kitchen.

These funds will be used to purchase supplies for a 2018 home-building mission supported by Folly Beach Methodist Church, and led by members of Mt Pleasant Presbyterian Church.

Our Folly Beach Methodist team of 5 missionaries will be laying block, digging foundations, working and eating alongside our new Honduran friends helping to build their own homes. This money will put smiles on the faces of the sweet children we will be playing with and practicing our Spanish with, like Antony in the red shirt in the video above walking across his home site to fill concrete mud in the walls of his own future bedroom.

But we can't build houses if we don't have blocks, mud, tools, and roof metal! We need $3000 for these things by November 30, so give now before your Christmas shopping really kicks in.  Our team, and the hard-working community receiving these funds, will be ever grateful.

**If you would like a year-end tax receipt for this donation, you will need to mail a check  instead of paying online.  Just send the check to Folly Beach United Methodist Church (write Honduras  Mission in the "For" line on the check) at PO Box 1079, Folly Beach SC, 29439.
