Brian has spent most of his life living in Bayonne NJ but moved to Toms River NJ in 2015 with his Fiancé Maria Formoso, his step children Nicholas and CJ along with their pups Bubba, Jax and Bella where they quickly felt at home and worked hard to establish a successful business, Island Property Maintenance. They easily found comfort in their new community amongst new and old friends enabling them to focus on a sincere passion and pride for their new rapidly growing business and just began to no longer struggle financially. On December 1st 2017 Brian and Maria received a gift from god and found out that they were unexpectedly (expecting) a beautiful baby which would complete their lives July 2018. Overcome with joy and the feeling of completion they began to tell Family and friends. Just 4 days later, Brian had a 6 month routine check up at NYU for his Papilledema Brain tumor that he has been quietly battling along with a shunt to drain fluid, both of which he has had since 2012... Brian, Maria and the boys sat confidentially in the examining room giggling and discussing plans to zip right out of the hospital and go go see the tree at Rockefeller Center together. But when the doctor entered the room and looked at them they already knew it wasn’t going to be good news, he then began to deliver them devastating news which would change their fate & outlook on their bright and exciting future. The tumor which had been sleeping over the past 5 years and withstood 2 surgeries had now grown tremendously and has become extremely dangerous, it sits on his main artery and puts Brian at high risk for stroke, more frequent seizures, sudden blindness and even death if not addressed immediately. Furthermore, the tumor has been deemed inoperable as the surgery is too risky due to region of the brain it grows in. Alternatively, Brian has begun holistic healing with Dr. Chuck Waldron and will begin a long regimented radiation therapy process on January 25th at NYU with hopes that the tumor will decrease in size which could possibly give him a chance at yet another cranial dissection surgery to remove the tumor. Sadly, Brian will not be able to work and run his business during treatments and has a long fight ahead of him but he is READY and has the love of his life Maria along side of him every step of the way. Brian’s friends Kevin, Chris and Nick kindly ask you to join them in this battle in an effort to assist in raising funds to help with medical/living expenses and alternative treatments. Your funds will also help ease Brian’s worries of being able to take care of his family and allow him to rest while undergoing treatment so that he can recover and have an opportunity to meet and raise his unborn child and live happily ever with Maria, Nicholas, CJ and baby Bowen. Brian and Maria plan to privately wed and profess their love to each other on 1/5/18 and dream of having a large wedding celebration with family and friends when Brian is stronger in September 2018.
