First and foremost thank you all from the bottom of my heart for helping us so much these past 2 years non stop through hurricane Irma, Richard’s immigration, and my health issues!
We have news, Richard has been given his deportation date: July 3rd, 2019 is the date that he can leave at the absolute latest. I have been absorbing this information myself and that is why I have withheld it this long. I am just at a loss of words for all we have been through and continue to go through. God has the best plan for us and I trust he has our best interests in mind here.
Richard’s lawyer wants to file a motion to re open his deportation order case since number 1 Richard was scammed when he obtained his driver’s license and number 2 he never was aware of the court date so he did not appear to defend himself.
So first things first he has to report in 1 month to bring his plane ticket receipt; The lawyer has given us two weeks to come up with $5,000 to re open the deportation case. Once he re opens the case and shows next month he has the papers filed to re open this case the department of homeland of security grant him an automatic stay until a decision is made in court; So his deportation date of July 3rd will be null.
Then when Richard is able to defend himself in court it is automatic Residency if they prove him a good potential citizen. The lawyer informed us leaving voluntarily is not an option because it will take potentially two years to bring him back. So agreed not an option for my family. Kylee is 12 she cannot be taken from her birth country and put in a foreign country to live. Second living separated for two years just isn’t plausible either. With my depression and now on top of everything being diagnosed with a brain cyst, life is crazy right now to say the least. Richard leaving would cause definite hardship for us.
