Wilder Family UVA Cancer Fund

My name is Ryan Wilder. I am 17 and from Charlottesville Viginia. My mom was recently diognosed with stage four brain cancer. Over the course of two days, my life changed forever. My mom seemed perfectly normal one day, but just had a headache. The next day she was in the hospital unable to do just about anything without assistance and barely recognized me.  My mom has always been the one I'd talk to whenever I needed support, but now she cant talk much and when she does its usually only one word answers. I have never loved someone as much as my mom or been so close to someone as I have been with my mom. This situation has changed my whole outlook on life. I am so much more thankful for everything God has given me. Having spent a lot of time at the UVA hospital recently, I have seen first hand how cancer can change lives in a blink of an eye. 

I have decided to set up this fundraiser because I know my mom would be really proud of me (I am not sure if she understands). I can assure you that all the money raised will be a huge blessing to many people. I plan to use some of the money for Christmas gifts for my mom, dad, and siblings because they really deserve to have a great Christmas this year considering all the stress recently. I also plan to give some of the money to other families and patients fighting cancer at UVA, so they can have a very special Christmas as well. Most of all I plan to give the money to the UVA cancer center so they can provide the best treatment possible to my mom and all the other patients.
