Military Veteran Lost Home in Fire

Yesterday morning, my brother, Devon Perry, awoke to the blare of a smoke detector. It didn't take long for the fire from his wood stove to spread throughout his house. Thankfully, he was able to get out safely with his two dogs and his cat, but absolutely everything Devon owned is gone, including his house. He didn't even have shoes or a winter coat on--it's all literally gone up in smoke. Thankfully, quite a few people have already stepped up to make sure he has the basic necessities.

Unfortunately, the home was uninsured and Devon has no savings. He works hard, but money is sparse. He is fortunate to have a place to stay indefinitely, with his father (my stepfather), but he desperately needs our help to rebuild his life. He is a military veteran who lost our mother and all four grandparents while on active duty. His marriage fell apart while he was overseas. I don't know anyone in the world who needs our love and support more than he does. He is also the type of person who would give the shirt off his back, even if that shirt was the only thing he had.

Right now he is considering putting a trailer down where the house used to be, although the experience is still too fresh to know what he'll do for certain at this point. He doesn't ask for much, and it doesn't take much to make him happy. Please consider giving as much as you comfortably can. Devon and the rest of my family will appreciate every donation more than you can imagine. A $5 donation means as much to us as a $500 donation, and every little bit adds up.
