Camp Fire - Kurtis and Angela Brandt

As many of you are aware, on November 8, the Camp Fire ripped through Paradise, California.  Many lives have been lost and more have been displaced by this devastating event.  Our dear friends Kurtis and Angela Brandt, and their 2 year old daughter, Clara, are among those impacted.  They were fortunately able to evacuate unharmed, but pictured above is all that remains of their home and a lifetime of possessions.  The hospital where Kurtis works has been badly damaged and is inoperable.  To wake up one morning with everything fine and by the end of the day have no home, possessions, job, or community left is unfathomable.

As you can imagine, they are sure to have a long and difficult road ahead of them as they determine their next steps; both in the short term, such as where they will stay and where to find work, as well as the long term.  Please consider a donation to this wonderful family as they work to rebuild their lives from the ground up.  No one should have to experience what they are going through.  Any help from family and friends will show them how much they are loved, and that they are not on this road alone.  

I've known Kurtis and Angela for many years, dating back to pharmacy school in Montana.  They are one of the most genuine and loving couples I've ever encountered.  I only get to see them occasionally now as I am living in Idaho, but recently had a chance to visit them in Paradise this summer.  I saw their beautiful home and how much they enjoyed living in Paradise.  It breaks my heart to think of everything that needs to be replaced.  Any donations will not be handled by me but will be withdrawn directly by Kurtis for their use to help reconstruct their life.
