Help for Lars

Everyone meet Lars, a 3 year & 3 month old French Bulldog. Lars is my sister's dog. She has had Lars since a pup and in those few years that he has been in our lives, he has completely stole our hearts. Lars isn't just a dog, he's our family. Lars is the sweetest, goodest boy and everything you would wish for a dog to be - with of course, a cheeky, playful side.

Lars was rushed to the vets on Monday 13th January as he was suffering with back problems as well as his back and legs being extremely weak. He was given an MRI and morphine then admitted to the vets over night. During his stay, Lars started to deteriote over night and his back legs became paralysed. The vets have said it is stage 4 IVDD (intervertabral disc disease). Lars had to undergo spinal surgery and have one of his discs operated on. The vets are unsure if the paralysis is temporary or not but the surgery would give him the best chances.

Lars is currently being kept in the vets for the next week or two so they can monitor him, give him pain meds and physio. We are still unsure if the paralysis is temporary but whatever the outcome, we will adapt and give Lars the best life possible as he is the best boy and we've vowed to always do right by him.

Unfortunately nothing comes cheap, his insurance has been exceeded and every financial avenue exhausted. If it was for anything else, we would not ask but anything raised would beneficial for Lars' recovery and we would be forever grateful!
