Pennies for Pandora

Pandora, a nine week old kitten, needs an expensive surgery to correct a pinched esophagus. Pandora was born with this problem. However, no one knew she had it until she started eating wet and dry food. We noticed that she threw up every time she ate those foods. Extensive medical tests were run and it was discovered that solid food could not pass through her esophagus because it is pinched.

Coronado CARES is a small animal rescue organization that fosters homeless kittens - taking care of their medical needs, and then getting them adopted. Pandora is one of our foster kittens.

Because of the seriousness and technical difficulties, Pandora’s surgery has to be performed by a specially trained veterinarian. This surgery will cost well above our budget. We need your help!! Thanks to a very generous donor, every dollar donated toward Pandora’s surgery will be matched. There is no such thing as a too small of a donation. Won’t you please help save the life of Pandora?

We are very grateful to Dr Barbara Darnell at Shelter Island Vet Hospital, who diagnosed Pandora’s medical problem. Dr Darnell has taken Pandora to her home where the kitten is living and being spoon fed a liquid diet until she can get the surgery that she needs.
