K-State Wind Ensemble NYC Trip

The Kansas State University Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform in New York City at the 2015 New York International Music Festival this April. We are honored to have this opportunity to travel and share our talents with so many by giving performances in Carnegie Hall and the Naumberg Band Shell in Central Park.
Despite numerous fundraising events, grant applications, and out-of-pocket expenses directly from the students, we are still falling short of our budget to provide this opportunity to the 57-member Wind Ensemble. We have worked to diminish the direct cost of the hotel to the students, and have opted to bus instead of fly from Manhattan, KS to New York to keep costs down. Our goal is to make this trip affordable for our students, many of whom receive scholarships and work part-time jobs just to pay for tuition to attend K-State.
Any and all donations toward our cause are greatly appreciated by each and every member of the ensemble, the KSU Bands staff, and directors.
