Support Susie

Susan Turnbull (Pringle) aka Susie, was diagnosed with liver disease and as many of you know her health deteriorated quickly! She went from being an independent, active foster mother to a women who is in and out of hospital and requires numerous medical aides to perform her daily tasks. Most recently Susie was admitted to SAH where she became very ill and was moved to the Intensive Care Unit. She was placed on life support. Doctors were pessimistic but Susie was not, and in her true fighter ways she proved everyone wrong. She was accepted to London ICU unit two weeks after being placed on life support. She overcame and fought through obstacle after obstacle that her body threw at her. She has been in London now for two weeks and is continuing to amaze everyone with just how strong willed she is. She requires a complete liver transplant to survive and live another ten-twenty years to enjoy her grandchildren. London believes if she can get stronger physically she can have the transplant when a liver becomes available that is a match. All that being said she and her husband have been out of town for over two weeks now and it is very costly. She will be required to stay in London post surgery and she will need to return for check ups. Susie will need additional aides for her apartment to ensure she can return home. She has had to recently place her love of fostering and passion for helping children on hold; and her husband has been unable to work as he is out of town by her side. All of this added stress has placed a burden on Susie's mind. Let us help relieve some of that stress for her while she continues to grow stronger physically. Susie was not a fan of me reaching out to our community for assistance but I assured her, a women like herself who has given her life to this community by fostering children for 25 years is more then deserving of a little support back. Susie supported the children of this community now let's show her the community supports her!! Thank you in advance to everyone for your support and well wishes.
