Summer School in Paris

Over the past year, I have been forced to accept the fact that from time to time you must depend on the kindness of strangers to make it through. Now, it looks as though I am going to have to depend on the kindness of my friends and family.
About a month ago I was accepted to a summer course exchange program at a University in Paris. The name of the University is: The Paris Institute for Political Studies, or 'Sciences Po' for short. It is one of the most prestigious schools in the field of political science in Europe, counting many current heads of state as alumni, and to be honest, I was a pretty shocked that they are considering even letting me in the door. While I was ecstatic at first, the realities of the financial cost it would take to make it a reality hit me quickly.
I hope to be taking a course called “Human Security”, a course that is taught by a former advisor to the UN, and explores ways by which to ensure security for all people in the face of overpopulation and dwindling resources.
Being Paris, the School is expensive. I applied for, and received, a scholarship from South Carolina to help offset the cost, and I have even started working at a café at my current school, hoping that these two combined would be enough to cover the cost. Unfortunately, it is not. I am still short by a considerable amount, and the only way that I will be able to study at this amazing University this summer, is if you help me cover the gap that is left.
