Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my story.

My name is Ruby Beaty, and I’m 16 years old. I’ve always dreamed of becoming an educator abroad, but my path is clouded by financial hardship. My father is a single parent doing his best to raise three children, and my mother is no longer in my life. Despite his tireless efforts, we struggle to make ends meet, and there’s simply no way for my family to afford my tuition. I’m reaching out with hope in my heart, asking for your compassion and support to help me pursue the future I’ve worked so hard for. Your kindness could be the light that guides me out of these difficult circumstances and toward a life of purpose and service.

From a young age, my world was shaped by the stories my grandfather told. Instead of fairy tales, I grew up with rich and vibrant tales of history and distant cultures. His passion for history and cultures was infectious, and it was he who first opened my eyes to the incredible history and traditions of Asia. I remember being completely captivated, poring over books and documentaries I found, and spending hours discussing everything from ancient dynasties to modern-day society. The richness and unique beauty of Asian culture, particularly South Korea's, left a permanent mark on my heart and set me on a path I knew I had to follow.

This early inspiration has blossomed into a clear life goal: to become an English teacher abroad in South Korea. I believe that language is one of the most powerful tools for connecting people and bridging cultural divides. My time studying abroad would not just be an academic journey; it would be the first crucial step in my career. It will provide me with the invaluable opportunity to immerse myself in the Korean language and culture, allowing me to build the deep cultural understanding and empathy that will make me a truly effective and compassionate teacher. By living among the people, experiencing their daily life, and learning from them firsthand, I can gain insights that no textbook or lecture could ever provide.

This is where I humbly ask for your support. Your generous contribution will go directly toward covering my program fees, flights, and other expenses, bringing me one step closer to fulfilling my dream. Any amount, no matter how small, makes a profound difference. If you are unable to donate, I would be incredibly grateful if you would share my story with your network.

Thank you for your generosity, your belief in my journey, and for helping me make my dream a reality. I promise to keep you updated on my progress and to carry the spirit of your kindness with me every step of the way.
