<div>My friend Kristy K. noticed a problem with her vision earlier this fall, which turned out to be caused by a brain tumor pressing on her optic nerve. Because we live in the best and worst possible worlds simultaneously, she is getting excellent care and will have surgery to remove the tumor on Wednesday, 12/27, but doesn't know how much of the cost she'll be responsible for yet. She DOES know she'll be off work for 8 - 12 weeks after the surgery on short term disability, which pays at 60% of salary.

<div>This fundraiser is to help provide a financial cushion to get her through this, and hopefully pay off her share of the medical bills. The last few weeks have been very stressful for Kristy, and if we can remove the financial stress from her recovery time that would be very helpful. All funds raised will go directly to Kristy.
