Boss had a rough beginning, but thanks to a concerned citizen and his rescuer things ar e looking up. Our foster was able to rescue this small family from under a neighboring house, but all was not well with the kittens. Boss was born with his umbilical cord wrapped around his leg. Unfortunately, blood flow to the leg had been cut off to long and was already dead. The kittens and mom were rushed to the vet and put on antibiotics to combat infection. AAWC was able to step in and help at this point. Dr. David Martin was able to remove the bottom portion of the leg, but indicated Boss would need more surgery at a later date. While helping Boss, we noticed his sister had an abscess on her stomach, probably due to over cleaning by mom. These babies are safe and warm in their foster home, but we need to raise funds for the additional surgery Boss will need. Thank you in advance for your support.
