This week has been a tough one for the Caldwell Clan and all of their Family and Friends. On Monday, Kristy went into the hospital after experiencing a persistent headache and blurred vision. It was believed that maybe she was suffering from a migraine but a CT scan and an MRI proved otherwise. We learned that Kristy has yet another brain tumor.
In the last 13 years, Kristy has been no stranger to hearing the word tumor, as she has already had a benign brain tumor and ovarian tumor removed. This past June, Kristy found out that she had benign tumors in her throat as well. Today, the news was more more difficult. We learned that Kristy has Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. The tumor was removed today and Kristy’s doctors are working on what the next steps will be. Kristy is in ICU recovering and we will do our best to keep everyone updated through this site.
At this point in time, we are trying to ease the financial burden that the Caldwell Clan has experienced and try to help with some of the medical bills that have been incurred and will continue to roll in.
If you know Kristy, you know that she will absolutely hate the idea of this page, which is why we didn’t tell her, haha. Kristy’s exact words tonight to me were......” I don’t want anyone’s sympathy, I want to fight like hell”.
AND we ALL know Kristy is a Fighter!
Her husband Chris and 3 beautiful girls Ari, Aurora and Addi are getting plenty of help during this difficult time and they are very appreciative of everyone who has reached out to offer their prayers and support.
Kristy has also expressed her gratitude through copious amounts of pain medication:)
