Kristi’s Accident Fund

Tuesday April 21st, 2020, my best friend of 34 years, Kristi, 37, got in a nearly fatal head on collision with a full sized tow truck carrying a cultivator on his flatbed. Her injuries very pretty severe. Broken sternum, cracked/broken ribs, cracked/broken shoulder blade and her left arm was amputated just below the elbow in the wreck. At 3:25 pm on 4/21, the 911 call came through, Her whole front end of her Honda Civic was ripped off of the passenger part of her car. The engine was about 20-30yards from the vehicle. The drivers side roof was sliced off and folded against the passenger side of her car. According to the police, her feet were resting on the pavement and they only had to cut her seatbelt off to get her out. Her left arm was also amputated at the scene, by one of the discs on the cultivater. There was so much damage to the car, they didn’t even have to use the Jaws of Life to get her out. I CANNOT EVEN BELIEVE SHE LIVED THROUGH THIS!!!! She is still in the hospital recovering.... all alone, because of the dreaded Covid-19. Kristi is the kindest soul I have ever met. She is a God fearing woman and I wholeheartedly believe she had a guardian angel with her that night!! She’s been my best friend for 34 years. She has a 13 yr old son Aidan and an older son in the marines, Brandan, 19 and also an 18yr old son Bryce. She is also a home health care worker and a waitress. She lost one job due to covid restrictions, and now she will be off work for the foreseeable future while she recovers from this traumatic accident. She is my best friend. My sister. A mother. A daughter. A niece and a sister. Please consider donating anything, no amount is too big or too small! I, myself am an amputee as well, also from a head on collision 7years ago, and I’m trying to do everything I can to make this new life for her as easily as possible! Even if it’s only $1, $5, $10. If you can’t offer any monetary donations to help her keep her bills paid, prayers will always work. They have so far, and are more than appreciated! This is to help her get through unemployment, help pay any medical bills that aren’t covered by insurance and to help get the prosthesis she will need to help her get back to a “normal” life!!
