Kristin's Cancer Treatment Fund

Donation protected

UPDATED 5/14/21 Hi, It’s Annie again, posting for Kristin. We know you’ve been wondering what’s going on. We recently learned that Kristin’s breast cancer has spread.

The plan now is to pursue traditional treatment: medication and radiation, which will slow the spread. She will augment this treatment with a holistic protocol, along with much prayer and meditation. Kristin is working closely with her holistic doctor to pursue curative therapy.

Currently, Kristin is not working so she can completely focus on healing. As she gains strength, she plans to return to work full time. Both treatment protocols are in the tens of thousands of dollars and insurance covers only the traditional portion.

With your help, the financial pressure will be removed giving her the opportunity to restore to complete health.  Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated.

We have a gracious and very generous benefactor offering to match all donations up to $10,000 in the next three months, until August 15, 2021. Please consider giving now so your donation is doubled.

Updated 04/25/21 - Update details coming soon. This is Annie Moore, a friend of Kristin's. She now has metastatic breast cancer in stage 4. Info to follow shortly, stay tuned but feel free to donate.

Hey Friends, I just wanted to post an update. Since my last post, you have generously contributed and I have enough funds for my next step which is to repeat the blood test to check circulating tumor cells. My goal is to get the test by next week. Please keep me in your prayers for courage to take the test and that the result is in a healthy range. Also, believe with me for 13! Thank you again for all of your support financially and in prayer. With much love, Kristin

AUGUST 22, 2019by Kristin Sauer, Organizer
Hey friends, many of you have been asking about my progress on this healing journey so I thought it was time for an update. For those of you who don't know, this adventure began in August 2014 and you can read more details on my front page if you care to. Here's the latest...
As a result of your generosity, I was able to retest and check my status in January 2019. Great news, my numbers for circulating tumor stem cells went from 5.4 to 4.9. The goal is to get to 1-3. But this indicates that the treatments are working! I was also able to get another baseline test that measures circulating cancer cells and will retest that as another indicator of my progress.
In all honesty, I was hoping for a huge drop in numbers that said I was all done with this journey and could shift into maintenance mode, but alas healing takes time….so with the information that the treatment protocol is working, I started another treatment cycle to get the numbers down even more. I completed that treatment protocol in July 2019. I am feeling great physically, emotionally, and spiritually! It’s tempting to just roll with how I’m feeling and get on with life. I have to admit I get weary of all these tests and treatments. But wisdom is saying get the tests and monitor my progress. So, now it is time to recheck and see what the numbers say; more treatment or maintenance mode?
Gratefully, I have the funds for one of the tests which I intend to get in the next 2 weeks, but I can use some help with a few things. Thank you for considering contributing to my campaign. Here are some specific ways you can help
•$1,110 for a blood test to monitor the progress of protocol on Circulating Tumor Stem Cell count
•$1000 for the next round of treatment
• $670 for 4 months topical gel to kill localized and systemic cancer cells,
• $600 for Dr. Visit, rescan and frequency treatment,
• $375 for targeted supplements to reverse vitamin and mineral imbalances common with breast cancer,
• $200 for comprehensive blood panel to monitor deficiencies,
• $100 for Essential oils for topical use (the treatment gel causes blisters and essential oils help to heal the skin during the treatment),
• $350 for one month with Cancer Coach.

Your financial support is greatly appreciated, but there are many ways to help. Please keep me in your prayers. We are believing for 13 and 3 on my next tests! Also, consider helping me get the word out about my mission to be cancer-free naturally by sharing my GoFundMe page (www.gofundme.com/kristinscancerfund) with your friends and family.

Thank you so much!! I couldn’t do this without you! Also, please let me know how I can be praying for you! With much love, Kristin.

Updated 10/26/18 - Thank you for checking out my GoFundMe page!  I am raising funds for the natural treatment of stage 3 breast cancer. Life takes a lot of twists and turns.  This adventure began in August 2014 and you can read more details below if you care to.  But here's the latest for those who don't know... after 18 months of natural treatment and three diagnostic tests over 2 years that said I was cancer-free.....I was diagnosed again and BAM,  life was on rewind just like Ground Hogs day!! That was the spring of 2017.

As a result, I got to work to figure this thing out. Great news, I found a test that not only helps me monitor my progress but also takes the cancer stem cells in my body and treats them with 50 different natural substances to isolate which will be most effective at killing the cancer cells.  This information has helped me design a treatment plan that is unique to me.  This means I'm not grasping for straws and guessing at what might be likely to help. The goal is to drop my number 1 point every 90 days and go from 5.4 -1 or 2.

Fast forward to today. I'm 30 days into the first leg of the recommended yearlong natural treatment protocol. And I can use some help to finish the first 90 days and retest to check my status at the end of December 2018.

Thank you for considering contributing to my campaign.  I have some immediate short-term needs that will get me through these first 90 days. Here are some specific ways you can help:

·         $100 for 1 month Enzyme treatment,

·         $50 for 3 months glutathione and detox treatment,

·         $670 for 4 months topical gel to kill localized and systemic cancer cells,

·         $600 for Dr. Visit, rescan and frequency treatment,

·         $375 for targeted supplements to reverse vitamin and mineral imbalances common with breast cancer,

·         $200 for comprehensive blood panel to monitor deficiencies,

·         $1,110 for blood test to monitor progress of protocol on Circulating Tumor Stem Cell count (the goal is to drop one point every 90 days and take my number from 5.4 to 1-2),

·         $100 for Essential oils for topical use (the treatment gel causes blisters and essential oils help to heal the skin during the treatment),

·         $350 for one month with Cancer Coach.

·         $630 for blood test for baseline of Circulating Tumor Cell,

·         $3,500 for intravenous Vitamin C therapy

Your financial support is greatly appreciated, and there are many ways to help.  Please keep me in your prayers as well as consider helping me get the word out about my mission to be cancer free naturally by sharing my GoFundMe page (www.gofundme.com/kristinscancerfund) with your friends and family.  Thank you so much!!  I couldn’t do this without you!

Please let me know how I can be praying for you!

With much love,
Kristin

Updated 11/20/14 - In August 2014, I went for a routine mammogram, my first. Boy was I shocked when the doctor brought me back to a little office with the radiologist and nurse. There, on a huge screen, was what looked like a target with white buck shot all over it. There were suspicious micro- calcifications and a subseqeunt  biopsy of those indicated cancer. On October 16th 2014, after a lumpectomy to remove the tumor and three lymph nodes, my shock continued when the doctor explained that I had stage three breast cancer. Much to my great relief, follow-up x-rays and scans confirmed that the cancer had not spread to my bones or liver. As a next step, my oncologist recommended the most aggressive treatments: chemotherapy, radiation and endocrine therapy.

In order to help with my decision process, I requested genetic testing of the tumor, which predicts the effectiveness of chemotherapy. My test results indicated that chemotherapy would have a limited impact on my tumor. Therefore, my doctor and I agreed that chemotherapy could be eliminated from my treatment plan. But, he still recommended radiation and endocrine therapy. These treatment options come with the risks of developing secondary cancers, further depleting my immune system, causing lung damage, and inducing early menopause, as well as limiting the possibility of having children. As with every cancer treatment, neither of these options offers a guarantee that my cancer would remain in remission. In my opinion, the risks outweigh the benefits.

I continued to research my options, sought out the opinions of two additional conventional doctors, investigated alternative treatments, and spoke to numerous cancer survivors, who had pursued both traditional and alternative methods. Given my strong personal beliefs around natural healing, I decided not to undergo radiation and endocrine therapy, and instead, pursue an intensive alternative treatment program.

After extensive research, I have found the program that will offer me the best treatment. I have decided to begin treatment at The Total Health Institute (THI) in Wheaton, IL. My treatment plan will include radical dietary changes, supplements, and nine different treatments designed to detoxify my body, restore deficiencies, and strengthen my immune system. Additionally, THI also counsels on the importance of a healthy mind and spirit, which many of you know, I believe strongly in.

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover any portion of the cost for my treatment plan.  The painful reality is that insurance will pay close to a million dollars for chemotherapy, radiation and endocrine therapy, but they won’t pay $30-40,000 for alternative treatments. As a result, I must cover all costs myself. In order to begin treatment I need a minimum of $20,000. Although I plan to continue working throughout treatment and I have gotten strong commitments for support from family I don’t have enough money to begin treatment.  Therefore, I am asking you, my friends and family, to prayerfully consider providing financial support, so that I may begin treatment as soon as possible.

Please know that no gift is too small!  Every gift will be deeply appreciated. My goal is to begin treatment by January 31, 2015.

I am incredibly grateful to the many people who have been alongside me in this journey so far. Your support in the form of prayer, words of encouragement, hugs, rides to doctor appointments, homemade soup, house cleaning, and coaching has been invaluable. I wouldn’t be where I am today without all of your support. This next year of treatment will hold many new challenges for me and I will need your continued help, encouragement, and prayer. It takes a village to survive cancer!

 With profound gratitude and joy,

Kristin
