Kristine Habelmann, a wonderful teacher at Montessori School of Evergreen, needs your support!
Kristine has been teaching at Montessori School of Evergreen for five years. She taught Upper Elementary for two years and is in her third year as 6th Year teacher at the middle school. She is an exceptionally hard-working teacher and puts her heart into everything that she does.
Her lessons are engaging and she doesn't hesitate to go the extra mile for her students. She dresses up as characters from the books they are studying, she plans unique field studies, enjoys cooking with the students, and she excels at fostering community in her classroom.
It has been a rough few weeks for this amazing teacher. Kristine had an emergency appendectomy after her appendix ruptured. After being released, she went back into the hospital due to complications from the surgery. Still fragile, she left the hospital to travel to California to be with her mom who was critically ill. After arriving in Los Angeles, Kristine had to be admitted to the hospital there due to continuing complications and is still a patient there. Then last week, sadly, Kristine's mom passed away. Kristine hopes to return to school soon and misses her students dearly.
Kristine has been through so much lately and could use your support to ease the burden of her medical deductible and travel costs.
