Kristina Showers Recovery Fund

Early Thanksgiving morning, just last week, Kristina Showers was on her way home from work in Jacksonville on I295 when she was cut off in traffic. She hit her brakes and hydroplaned and then began flipping. She flipped a total of 5 times and suffered a broken back, broken clavicle, a broken fibula and a broken ankle. Kristina was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital in Jacksonville where she underwent spinal surgery to repair her back. They operated on her knee this morning, (12/01) but more surgery is required. The physicians hope to move Kristina to Brooke’s Rehab Facility in St. Augustine but not until she is able. The doctors have explained that David (husband) will have to be present during her inpatient stay at Brooke’s Rehab so he can learn how to care for her once she returns home.

Kristina and David have 2 sons, Bo (2 yrs old) and Bryson (1 yr old) and daughter Cheyenne (8yrs old). As you can imagine the bills are piling up and though they have insurance it doesn’t cover everything. Kristina and David need some help with affording day to day bills as well as money for their boys to have a Christmas. Please donate whatever you can afford to help this family.
