The most heartbreaking of stories. Our beautiful Kristie-Lee, just 30 years old, will die within the next 2 weeks. We all expected her to recover, so the shock is unimaginable. She has two beautiful children, Olivia Lee (5 1/2 yrs old) and Carter Alex (Nearly 11 months old) who adore their Mummy. Their Daddy is a star and has been the Kristie's carer and rock since March. Kristie had chemotherapy with apparent good effect earlier in the year. She was having extremely heavy doses over 3 days every 3 weeks. Her body couldn't tolerate it, so it had to be stopped. Then followed 6 weeks of daily radiotherapy. She had her scans on 27th December only to be told that the cancer had spread throughout her body and there would be no cure. This was totally unexpected and devastating beyond all belief. She will not live to Carter's 1st birthday early February and has been given 2 weeks to live, at the most. This will leave Josh, who is 25, to care for his 2 beautiful children. Insurance was not an option for such young people with little income and 2 kiddies. We want Josh and the children not to have to worry about finances for the coming distressing time. They're looking to get married in the next few days, all being well. Kristie always wanted to be married and have children.
Please give a donation, no matter how small, to help Josh, Olivia-Lee and Carter Alex. Your donations will help so much and make life a little easier for this beautiful family without their Mummy. Everything will help until Josh gets back to work.
I have been asked by GoFundMe to give the following information to clarify a pathway for the donated money. Due to the very large amount raised, I have decided to create a Trust Fund for the education of the children which I know Kristie would want. I am leaving the money with GoFundMe at the moment. Following that, the money donated will go into a bank account/Trust Fund opened for Olivia-Lee and Carter. A good amount will be transferred in to Josh's bank account for use over the next few months for him and the kids until he is able to return to work. I am Kristie's Auntie on her Mum's side and I started this fund. Thank you all again. We are totally amazed at the response to this. It's made Kristie realise how very much loved she is and that's so important to her.
UPDATE.... Kristie and Josh got married in a moving ceremony on Sunday 6th January. A lifelong wish of Kristie.
I'm so sorry to have to tell you that Kristie-Lee Jones lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday 9th January. She has fought a brave battle and slipped away peacefully. RIP Kristie. You will be so missed and always loved and remembered. xxx
