Maternity Leave & NICU Stay

Donation protected
After being together for 12 years, my husband and I are expecting our first child.  I'm currently 21 weeks along (my calculated due date is 09/20/2019) and it's a boy.  Unfortunately, life has not been kind...  I recently went to a routine ultrasound where my doctors discovered pregnancy complications and I had to undergo an emergency surgery to sustain my pregnancy.  Basically, my cervix prematurely dilated and I almost lost the baby.  My doctors suspect from ultrasounds that I may have an abnormal reproductive issue, but my doctors can't tell me for certain until after I give birth and they give me an MRI, or other further testing that would have to come post-delivery.

The good news is that the baby looks healthy at this stage of development.  The bad news is I am now on bed rest with a high-risk pregnancy.  I just had my first follow up appointment after surgery and it is not expected that I will carry full term, so the baby will come early.  I'm praying to make it to at least 28 weeks; 32-34 weeks is the ultimate goal.  I had planned to work up until delivery (40 weeks) to save for maternity leave, as I do not have access to paid maternity leave.  I will probably not be able to return to work full-time for the remainder of my pregnancy.  As of this week, due to for unforeseen circumstances, my husband is between jobs and is scrambling to find full-time employment to support our growing family.  Sometimes, when it rains it pours and right now it’s pouring.  Without two full-time incomes, we are struggling to remain positive and as you can imagine, our stress levels are extremely high and I'd like to reduce a part of that.

We need some help and I am putting aside my pride to ask for it.  I'm trying to keep my little boy cooking for as long as possible to improve his chances of viability.  Any donations received will help us keep a roof over our heads, utilities and medical insurance paid and perhaps a little for a short maternity leave.  With the overwhelming amount of uncertainty, I'm terrified of what's to come in the next few months.  I’m trying to overcome some of this anxiety and to look forward to what hopefully can be a happy time in our lives.  We're just trying to stay positive and hope for the best.  Any support will help and everything is appreciated.  Thank you for all the support we have already received.
