Kristen Haskins

Hi! My name is Kristen Haskins! I had a plan, but God had a better plan. I was set on going straight to college after graduating high school, but right before the deadline to apply for a Regnum Christi Mission Year, I felt the call to give a year of my life to Christ while sitting in adoration. When I was a freshman in high school, I came across the amazing Catholic group called Challenge, a program of Regnum Christi. I was inspired by the Regnum Christi Missionaries that were assigned to the Houston area to become a team leader at the local Challenge club my sophomore year. I just finished my third year as a team leader with this spirit-filled group of young girls. The Regnum Christi Mission Corps is a Catholic volunteer program that serves the Church by evangelizing to the youth and empowering young men and women to search for a deeper meaning in life. Throughout the year, I will be mentoring young girls, leading retreats and camps, supporting those less fortunate, growing in my own faith, and teaching others how to grow in their relationship with Christ. From July 15th to August 5th, I will be in San Jose, California for a three-week training course in preparation for my year of service to the Lord. Towards the end of the summer program, I will be assigned to a city where I will work as a missionary supporting the local Church.

I would love it if you would pray for my mission year. Pray that I may grow closer to Jesus so that I may be an instrument of the Lord to everyone I meet. As a Regnum Christi Missionary, I have been asked to raise a total of $7,500 to assist in my housing, food, and retreat attendance.
