Krista Hill and Family

My name is Krista Hill. I have been struggling with chronic illness for 20 years, but the last three have been devastating for my family and me. Most recently, I began to lose all voluntary muscle control and ended up in the hospital because it was affecting my ability to breathe and swallow. On Monday, October 23, I am destined for Mayo Clinic and hope to find some answers. A form of muscular dystrophy is the primary suspect.

My wife Andi had to take time off to care for me during this crisis, and it was the final straw that pushed our small company into dire straights, as she has been working 16+ hours a day just to break even. We have not been drawing a salary for months in order to meet our financial obligations to our employees and the bank. Our cushion is gone. We have nothing to live off of and we cannot make our payment this month. We are already a month behind due to repairs and trucking delays. As is, if we do not make our payment, we lose the business that we built from the ground up, that we have dedicated our lives to and sacrificed for, for 15 years. If we lose the business, we will lose our beautiful forest home.
