On May 24, around 9pm I was suddenly hit was excruciating abdominal pain that literally brought me to my knees. After a couple of hours of this I was rushed tp the ER, at which point they did scans to see what was wrong. At this point I have to go back to nearly 12 years ago. I was involved in a car wreak where I was hit from behind and knocked into oncoming traffic. In the wreak I broke bones and my seatbelt caused my intestines to rupture. Considering the amount of damage done, I shouldn't be alive today, but by nothing short of a miracle I walked away from that wreak. The doctors performed surgery to repair my intestines which in the end meant there is now a significant amount of scar tissue build up. Now fast forward back to the abdominal pain that landed me in the hospital this time, after scans and exams the doctors were able to see that I had a partial blockage in my intestines due to the intestines getting "kinked like a garden hose" which was caused by the scar tissue from the surgery that saved my life nearly 12 years ago. Now started the process of trying to get my GI tract back to normal without having to go through surgery again. It's been a rough and painful journey so far, but my doctors and nurses have been amazing and I'm on the road to recovery.
Obviously no one can plan for something like this, and so having had to take time off work, and accruing medical bills has put me in a tight spot. Not to mention having to be away from my beautiful babies this whole time. My family has really stepped up big in helping Doug and myself be able to balance keeping the kids and getting me better, but now I need some financial help. If you know me, you know I hate asking for help, but I'm trying to learn to ask for it when I really need it. And right now I really need it. If you can help me, even if all you can do is share this page, I will be forever grateful for your kindness.

Update:
On Friday 5/31 I was admitted back into the hospital with my symptoms now worse than before. On Sunday 6/2 it was determined that my bowels were completely obstructed and surgery was now the only option. I was immediately taken in for surgery where they removed the scar tissue that turned into adhesions which were causing the blockage. It's unclear at this point if this fix is permanent, but hopefully this is the last time I'll ever have to go through this. Surgery means an even longer road to recovery and more time off work and away from family duties. I have no adequate words to express how much it means to me to have had the outpouring of love and support I've had throughout it. Please continue to share, donate and send positive energy my way.
