<div>Mit 22 Jahren erhielt ich die Diagnose schwarzer Hautkrebs im Stadium IV – mit Metastasen in mehreren Organen. Von einem Tag auf den anderen stand meine Welt Kopf.

<div>Zu dieser Zeit studierte ich, war Leistungssportlerin, spielte Handball in der 1. Bundesliga und stand für die deutsche Nationalmannschaft im Beachhandball auf dem Feld. Gemeinsam durften wir 2021 und 2022 die Europa- und Weltmeisterschaft sowie die World Games gewinnen – Erfolge, auf die ich bis heute unglaublich stolz bin.

<div>Seit meiner Diagnose habe ich zahlreiche Immuntherapien, Chemotherapien, Bestrahlungen sowie standardisierte und experimentelle Behandlungen durchlaufen. Gemeinsam mit meinem Ärzteteam haben wir alle Möglichkeiten ausgeschöpft, die uns in Deutschland und der EU derzeit zur Verfügung stehen – leider bisher ohne den erhofften Erfolg.

<div>Aktuell bietet eine TIL-Therapie die größte Hoffnung. Zwar wird sie vereinzelt auch in der EU angeboten, doch aus verschiedenen Gründen erfülle ich die Voraussetzungen für die dortigen Programme nicht. In Deutschland gibt es ein solches Programm nicht.

<div>Als einzige Alternative ist daher eine Behandlung im EU-Ausland realistisch. Wir haben ein konkretes Angebot und könnten die Behandlung, zumindest in der Theorie, morgen beginnen. Da meine gesetzliche Krankenkasse für die entstehenden Kosten jedoch nicht aufkommt, bin ich auf Unterstützung angewiesen. Um die voraussichtlichen Behandlungskosten von rund 250.000 Euro finanzieren zu können, bitte ich herzlich um Spenden.
