Dear Friends and Family,
I’m writing to tell you about an exciting opportunity I've been given. I have been invited to join R U Red E? Ministries to serve in Belize this summer. R U Red E? Ministries has been involved in building projects and children's vacation bible schools in Belize since 1991.
We'll be leaving for Belize on July 12th and returning on July 20th. While there, I plan to help with an ongoing work project at a local church and also helping at vacation bible schools in surrounding villages while spreading the love of God throughout the community. Because this is my first mission trip and my first time in a third world setting, I expect to be challenged in many ways. During this mission, I hope to gain a deeper connection to God, to get a sense of local culture and to make life-long friendships.
As I prepare for this, I appreciate your thoughts & prayers for a safe and successful trip.
I'll also be helping raise funds through different events including dinners & car washes. The total cost is $1800 which covers airfare, lodging, food, building materials, and supplies.
I'm very grateful for any support.
