Nathan's missions trip fund

Hello from the University of Toledo!  As most of you know, I started attending last fall to start my post high school education to become a Mechanical Engineer.  Things are going quite well, as of now, and I couldn’t be happier where I am and how I have been growing spiritually.  Over the fall semester I discovered a Christian organization called Campus Crusade for Christ or Cru.  Cru is an inter-denominational Christian group whose desire is to reach out to college kids on campus to share the love of Jesus Christ and to make Him known.  Every Thursday night at 8:00pm a mini service is put on and run by student leaders and staff.  It is a very fun-filled night with Jesus being the focus of everything we do.  The opportunities to grow in your faith using Cru as a tool are numerous, and I have been actively pursuing ways to connect through this organization on campus. 

 

As the fall semester ended, I was contacted by the leaders of Cru with an invitation to join an overseas mission’s trip to  East Asia during spring break (March 6-14).  Immediately I was intrigued, not just because of the chance to see a different country and the worldly “excitement” that comes with a trip like this, but also because it offers a very unique opportunity to: 1: Share my faith in Jesus Christ with the world in obedience to the Great Commission 2: Grow in my personal faith with Jesus.   After much thought and prayer, I have decided that this is what I am being called to do over spring break.  We will be traveling to a university where there is an ongoing ministry taking place.  Here we will help minister to students on campus who do not know the Good News.  We are currently receiving training for ministering cross culturally.  My desire is that God will use my abilities in ways that I could never imagine and that His vision for my life could be revealed more clearly.

 

I realize that this cannot be done alone.  Would you be willing to partner with me on this missions trip to Eastern Asia?  The overall cost to go is a little over $2500, this includes travel, lodging and food.  I ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with me by giving a gift of money of your choice.  If you choose to donate please give by Feb 20th, 2015.  Even if you choose not to give, prayers are needed and very much appreciated.  Thank you for your thoughts and prayers! 

(The specific location of our missions trip cannot be revealed due to ongoing ministry in that area.  If the location was revealed, the ongoing operations to reach people with the Word of Jesus could be jeopardized.)
