Cynthia's Medical Treatment

One day 3 1/2 weeks ago, Cynthia had walked to the top of her stairs and bent over in pain and from that moment on everything quickly changed. Up to that point she had been very active hiking mountains, loving and helping street children in South Africa with plans to return there long term in January to continue the work that was started. She is praying to get well soon and move forward with those plans. 

Everything has progressed very rapidly in these past 3 weeks and the oncologist believes that Cynthia has bladder cancer that likely started over a year ago. 
She will be having a CT scan tomorrow 12/1, and they will be checking her bladder, stomach and pelvis and surrounding areas.  The following week, she will be having a Cystoscopy (a small camera into her bladder). And after the Dr. identifies any masses, she will be having surgery in the coming weeks. 

Cynthia has no insurance and everything has to be paid in cash upfront from 50-100%, before tests and treatments are performed. These tests are very costly. She is praying that the surgery will be able to wait, without consequence, until after January 1st when Covered California will kick in but the tests will be what determines if she can wait.  

She desperately needs these funds to cover these procedures as quickly as possible so that whatever is going on in her body does not progress any further. Her tests have already begun and Cynthia is currently using her regular rent and bill money to try and cover the costs. When the insurance kicks in, it will cost approximately $585 per month but this will cover about 90% of her medical expenses. Because of Cynthia's rapid decline in health at this time, she also is no longer able to work so all expenses will be difficult for her to meet at this time.
