Support For Nick

Nicholas Hoyett is my handsome 38 year old nephew and he has a terminal diagnosis of cirrhosis of the liver.  On Monday, June 12, he was discharged from the hospital and placed in the care of hospice services.  Anyone who knows Nick can attest to the fact that he has an upbeat and joyful spirit.  He is known to be quite determined and outspoken.  It has been estimated that he has a week to one month with us, but we are praying for a miracle.  He has shown himself to be resilient in the past and he is showing no less this go around.

Janice Hoyett is his mother and my sister.  She is tirelessly devoted to taking care of Nick.  She has not been able to work this week and prior to this week has been traveling up and down the road to Sylacauga Hospital every day for about a month.  Although she has vacation time on her job, they don't pay them for using vacation time (who does that?).  Regardless, she is plugging along.  Although exhausted, she would have it no other way than to be there for her child in his time of need.  I love and admire her so much for her dedication and strength.

My heart goes out to the both of them and I'm hoping yours will too.  Funds are needed to help Janice with expenses needed to care for Nick while still maintaining the expenses of her household.  Although family is also dedicated and helping with his daily care and other things as much as they can, additional help is welcome and appreciated.  We also ask for prayers from those who love the Lord and know the truth of his healing power.
