Service Dog

Donation protected
Lea has struggled with anxiety and panic attacks for so long--anyone who has been through a similar experience knows how scared and powerless that can make you feel.
If you have a little something extra to spare, or an openness to sharing this post, we would appreciate these gestures of support more than words can convey.

What service dogs can do

A longer version:

My 16 year old daughter, Lea, has been struggling with general anxiety and panic attacks for some time. During these panic attacks, Lea becomes overwhelmed by a sense of terror and explains, "anything can come from anywhere and get me".  During her first panic attack my husband and I were forced to bring her to the hospital. Due to the anxiety Lea experiences daily, she also tends to have trouble waking up and facing a world she finds to be full of threats, leading to her arriving to school late or even missing whole periods. We finally came to the decision to purchase a service dog. We plan to have this service dog trained to apply deep pressure therapy and to create a barrier between her and other people. The service dog would also be trained to wake her up in the morning, allowing her to get to school on time. It would be ideal to have these funds raised around October 1st. Watching my daughter struggle through life because of her fear has pushed me to try and help her in any way possible. I would be very grateful to anyone willing to help.
