High school sweethearts, Macy And Patrick Lewis, got the surprise of their lives earlier this year. The first time parents were overwhelmed with joy upon hearing the news of, not one, but TWO new additions to their family life. In March they excitedly announced to their friends and family the expected arrival of their precious twins.
Their announcement was as follows:

Patrick and I would like to announce our TWINS are on the way!
For years the two had imagined how wonderful it would be when the time came for them to have children of their own. They discussed names, parenting styles, and wondered what features of each of them their children would carry on. They waited patiently until the time felt right to make their dreams of having a family become a reality.
When finding out the twins were coming, a boy and girl, they had never felt more joy, excitement, love and longing to hold their sweet babies in their arms.
Thursday, June 22nd should have been a day of celebration.... Patrick and Macy's third wedding anniversary. However, they found themselves celebrating in a very unexpected way followed by grieving in a way most couldn't even imagine.
Due to a series of rapid and very unexpected complications, Patrick and Macy welcomed the birth of their sweet little bundles of joy--- only midway through their pregnancy. They got to hold the tiny hands and kiss the perfect faces of their children while they took their first breaths of life here on Earth.
Surrounded by their family, they spent the most precious moments, moments that were cut all too short, embracing every breath, every movement from the little lives Macy had been carrying for the past 20 weeks. Their birthdays and the day of celebrating their love and marriage will now always share the most excruciating day any parent could imagine... the day their sweet babies became Angels. They now rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
As I'm sure you all can imagine, the expenses are piling up. Final expenses for the children, medical bills for Macy and the children, and time off work while these first time parents grieve in the most devastating way. While these are practical expenses, it is my hope to ease the financial burden from these two so they can focus on their healing.
A long and uphill battle is to be expected and the two can use donations of any kind including your time, prayers and loving support.
May God bless baby Jack and baby Caroline and may we all find comfort in knowing they are now resting in His Heavenly home.

Caroline Elizabeth Lewis passed away peacefully in her parents’ arms at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She touched many lives and was very loved by all during the short time she was here.
Born four months early and weighing 9.8 ounces, Caroline was born perfect in every way. She had beautiful blonde eyelashes, her mother’s eyes and her father’s ears. She was born at 4:08 p.m. on her parent’s third wedding anniversary, June 22, 2017, and went to be with the Lord at 6:28 p.m.
Caroline was preceded in death by her great-great-grandmothers, Minnie Elizabeth Gibson and Mary Patricia Schmidt; her great-great-grandfather, Robert Weston Schmidt; her great-grandmother, Ellen Lavaun Lewis, and great-grandfathers, James Chandler Gibson and Forrest Wilson Lewis.
Caroline is survived by her mother and father, Patrick and Macy Lewis; her grandparents, Cindy Morrison and Tracy Morrison, Bobbi Lewis and Larry and Linda Lewis; her great-grandparents, Gene and Nila Morrison, Delsie Gibson and Kay Hempstead; her aunts Chelsea (Spencer) Morrison, Ellen (Adam) Rothstein, Missy (Rick) Snyder and Stephanie (Brandon) Farrell; her uncle, Connor (Megan) Morrison; and many cousins who loved her.
Caroline was followed in death by her twin brother, Jack Weston Lewis.
A private funeral service will take place at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Born four months early and weighing 13 ounces, Jack was born perfect in every way. He had handsome strawberry blonde eyebrows, his mother’s lips and his father’s eyes. He was born at 10:09 p.m. on his parent’s third wedding anniversary, June 22, 2017, and went to be with the Lord at 11:39 p.m.
Jack was preceded in death by his twin sister, Caroline Elizabeth Lewis; great-great-grandmothers, Minnie Elizabeth Gibson and Mary Patricia Schmidt; his great-great-grandfather, Robert Weston Schmidt; his great-grandmother, Ellen Lavaun Lewis; and great-grandfathers, James Chandler Gibson and Forrest Wilson Lewis.
