Last year I went to meet a friend for a drink after work. On the way home I swerved to miss a deer and got my truck stuck. Unfortunately, this lead to my first dui at the age of 35.
Fast forward to current life events... I've been managing a restaurant where, through a series of unfortunate events and employees with sticky fingers, I've been thrown under the bus as an example to the rest of the company, and they're holding me accountable for the theft. While I *could* try to fight this, I cannot afford their calibre of lawyers. Not to mention the key factor here, *any* encounter with the law violates my probation. So if they move forward, I'll be in jail. They've offered a deal where I pay back part of the missing funds and they'll drop it. I have a few days at best to come up with this money or I'll be arrested.
I don't like airing my laundry, but humble pie says I must swallow my pride and ask for help.
Any amount helps, please help if you can. As a trans man, I would be kept in a temporary holding cell, segregated from all other life, for who knows how long. It would also leave my partner to take care of our 4 dogs and cat without me. (She can do it, but I don't want her to have to!)
Please know that whatever help I receive I plan to pay forward once I get back on my feet from here!
