Doug's Weekly Cancer Treatments

Greetings and Hello,
I am now writing this letter because a friend of ours needs help. As most of you know, six days before the wedding of Doug and Darlene Jackson, Doug was placed in the hospital and diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. On New Year's Eve, Doug underwent surgery to remove a large tumor from his intestines. Despite this devastating news, the couple never swayed from their decision to get married. On January 3rd, Doug was wheeled into the chapel, located at the hospital. Together with their pastor, some family, and a limited amount of friends, they were indeed married. Those of us that were able to attend, were witness to a really special love. I was one of those!
I have known Doug since he was a teenager, I gave him a job and a pillow when he first moved out of his parents' home. I have worked with him, hunted and fished with him for over 40 years. He sang at my wedding and then again at my daughter's wedding. Doug and I go way back! If you know Doug, you know he has a heart of gold and he enjoys helping others as much as anyone I know. It is time for us to help him.
As Doug fights his battle with cancer, he will also have to fight the mountain of bills that come with it. He will need money to fight this horrible disease. Period! His treatments alone are $960.00 a week for a minimum of 12 weeks. Lets support Doug with prayers and with whatever amount of cash you think you can send.
