We are raising money for Koukoudjoe to have a surgery for her knee. Koukoudjoe is 64 years old, and is one of the two members in her family that can provide money for their household. They have at least 13 people living under one roof, 2 of her daughters and 10 grandchildren. This is a family I came to know and love on my mission. They live in Togo Africa and don’t have access to healthcare insurance or other resources to earn the money to pay for her surgery. She has extreme Genu Valgum and is in a lot of pain, and can’t walk well with her injury. Helping her pay for the surgery will help not only improve the quality of her life, but help her family get the food they need and the school of her daughters and grandchildren. Irene is her daughter and is the only person working since Koukoudjoe isn’t able to right now. Irene is only 24 and trying to provide for this household of 13 people, making a total of $10-18 a week smoking and selling fish at the market. This small income is all this family has, and we want to enable them to make more by paying for Koukoudjoe’s surgery and medicine. They asked for our help, and we promised we would. We can’t do this all alone and would appreciate any money you can help us raise.
