KOTD Fundraiser for BC Evacuations

Our province of British Columbia, Canada is in an official  state of emergency. Wildfires are ravaging our province, 14 000 people have already been dispaced. People are losing their homes. We want to help! My name is William Macpherson aka Willie B. Me and my team have a big battle rap event with our company, King of the Dot Entertainnment, called Gastown 3 on July 15th at Red Room in Vancouver, and we are turning our event into a fundraiser for the Red Cross efforts to help evacuees. All profits from the show will be going towards this end, however show promoting is a risky business and profit is not ensured. So we will be doing everything we can think of to add purely fundraising elements. All merch sales will go towards the Red Cross as well as any ring passes sold. We also started this gofundme so that we could ensure we have a successfully fundraiser regardless of whether our event is profitable. 

We may say horrible things to each other in an artistic way (that's battle rap) but we have an incredible community and we want to try to help. We've set up this gofundme so that anybody can show their support and donate. All the money will raise will be donated on behalf of our amazing community. We're only giving ourselves a week, because we need to get these funds to the people that needs them asap.  Otherways you can help: get on social media! I have no official relatoinship with The Red Cross. I intend to try to keep fundraising after the event if I find other avenues to raise money. As soon as the money is released to me I will be making the donation myself in the name of KOTD Vancity and I will post the reciept. This isn't the first KOTD charity event we have done, and it won't be the last. If we exceed our goal with time left I will be contacting the Red Cross to let them know and see if they have any suggestions. The money goes to food, water, cots, and other necessitites for the evacuees.
