Humanitarian aid treatment in the global South
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Thomas Keller. Since retiring as a dentist in 2022, I have been involved in medical aid projects in the Global South. Together with aid organisations, I travel to countries such as India (Himalayan region), Nepal (Kathmandu), Cambodia (Siem Reap), Seychelles, Kenya and Togo. There, I work on a voluntary basis with other professionals to provide free treatment to people in need who would otherwise not receive medical care.
Help us save a smile – your donation makes a difference! Sometimes small deeds can have a big impact. Since 1981, the Association for the Promotion of Dental Care in Third World Countries (registered) has been committed to giving people in developing countries access to dental care and, in many cases, a better life. Our project in the Seychelles shows how much we can achieve together. At the dental clinic in Baie Lazare, people not only receive urgently needed medical care, but also hope, dignity and prospects for the future. However, we depend on your support to continue our work. A country that needs our help The Seychelles, known for their idyllic beaches, are a dream destination for many tourists. But away from the holiday idyll, the reality for the local population is often very different: - Many people have no access to regular dental care. - Our patients suffer from severe tooth decay from an early age due to a lack of toothbrushes, toothpaste and knowledge of oral hygiene. Pain and tooth loss are everyday problems that cannot be treated due to a lack of resources and skilled personnel. Our clinic is one of the few facilities that can help these people free of charge. But to continue this important work, we need you. My mission: 6 months for a better life: from July to December 2025, I will be working as a volunteer dentist at the clinic in Baie Lazare. I will save teeth, relieve pain and educate people – not just for the moment, but for long-term improvement in dental health. But my work on the ground is only as good as the materials I can bring with me:
- Special instruments for root canal treatment: these enable me to save teeth that would otherwise have to be extracted.
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste: these enable people in need and families to improve their oral hygiene and prevent disease.
- Educational materials: these teach people how to keep their teeth healthy – an investment in the future. What your donation can achieve Your support changes lives – directly and sustainably.
Even small amounts can make a big difference:
- £5: Provide a patient with a toothbrush and toothpaste – the first step to healthy teeth.
- £15: Fund educational lessons for a school class – so that children learn how to protect their teeth.
- £50: Save a tooth with a high-quality filling – and improve someone's quality of life.
- £100: Support the purchase of instruments for complex treatments such as root canal therapy.
- £500 or more: Enable the clinic to be equipped with urgently needed materials in the long term.
Why your help matters now: I cover my own living expenses during the mission. But without your support, I would not be able to take the urgently needed instruments and materials with me. Every pound goes directly to the work on the ground – to providing care for the people who need it most. Your donation not only saves teeth, but also gives people a new life: - A child who can laugh again without pain, - A mother who can eat again without worry, - A father who can provide for his family because he no longer has toothache. How you can help. Your support will directly benefit the patients. Donate today and become part of this mission that changes lives. Together, we can give the people of the Seychelles hope, health and a smile. Donation account: [https://gofund.me/be436d9c] Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. Let's achieve something great together – because a healthy smile is more than just a nice gesture, it's a gift for life!
With your support, we can:
- Organise further treatment campaigns in countries in the Global South and neighbouring regions.
- Provide dental care products for children and young people.
- Train local helpers in the long term to ensure sustainable care.
Your contribution has an immediate impact. Your donation not only improves children's dental health, but also gives hope to people in a crisis-stricken region and strengthens the resilience of local communities.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and invite you to support our mission and share the campaign. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

These projects urgently need medical equipment, medicines and consumables, which I would like to finance with your help. To ensure good medical care, modern equipment and instruments are required, which are often not available locally. I procure these specifically so that they can be used permanently in the projects. As I cover all my living expenses there myself, I am dependent on your help to be able to provide the necessary medical supplies. Every contribution helps to secure long-term medical care where it is most urgently needed. Thank you very much for your support!
