Kids Orchestra Flood Relief Fund

Kids’ Orchestra is an El-Sistema inspired program that serves 800 K-5 grade students in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Our mission is to bring children of all cultures and backgrounds together using music education as a vehicle to foster teamwork, develop understanding, and emphasize excellence.
The recent devastating, historic flooding in Louisiana has destroyed entire neighborhoods and has negatively impacted our entire community. Homes and schools were completely destroyed, some taking on water above their rooftops.
Kids’ Orchestra employs 10 full-time staff members, 70 teaching artists, and 25 mentors/tutors. They work tirelessly toward our goal to use music to change lives here in Baton Rouge.
So far, 5 members of our work family have total losses, and we are still struggling to connect with team members still unaccounted for. We are asking for your help to assist these families as they work to get back on their feet. We need their passion and expertise as we begin helping the community rebuild!
Your generous support is needed urgently and immediately. It will be used to help these families with critical, immediate needs (food, clothing, shelter).
With your help, we can work together to get our El Sistema teammates back on the battlegrounds to make a difference.

Your gift will not be used for organizational support or administration. It will be used for Kids' Orchestra to purchase gift cards ( to Walmart, Lowes, etc) and given directly to our employee’s families.
