Kortlan’s Heart for Houston

This is Kortlan. He is currently 2 years old. Up until his 9 month check up we thought he was a fully healthy miracle baby (his twin 4 year old sisters were 2 months premature) but that check up was the day our whole world changed. We were informed that something didn’t sound right with his heart and referred to a local cardiologist. After some testing we discovered my precious sweet baby boy had a very large ASD and would require open heart surgery. The day after his first birthday we made our first trip to Houston to meet with our surgery team and have further testing. We will be returning to Houston in September to have one final surgery meeting before scheduling his surgery. When he has his surgery we will be required to stay in Houston for 4-6 weeks. Unfortunately we don’t qualify for Ronald McDonald House bc we are to large of a family. We are hoping to raise enough money to off set the cost of our stay while we are in Houston. Please help us raise awareness for CHD and help in any way possible. As most of you know my husband is also in Renal Failure and may be on dialysis by the time we have Kortlan’s surgery in a year.
