Korey Cotton's Medical Fund

Over this past year Korey and his family received the devastating news that his disease of non-alcoholic psoriasis of the liver (NASH) which was diagnosed 10 years ago has now become severe. He is now waiting for a liver transplant.  Korey has been off work for over a year due to this horrible illness.  He was in Halifax on July 3, 2017 to receive a new liver, however, the surgery was cancelled due to the organ being oxygen deprived.  We are all praying for a miracle and are hoping that you will pray with us too. Like the true optimist that Korey is, he is approaching this battle with a positive attitude and fighting spirit.
But this fight for Korey and his family has just begun!

Throughout this battle, Korey will be unable to work due to the intrusive nature of  his sickness.  Korey has always been a hard worker and a significant provider for his family.

Many of you have already asked how you can help and those offers have been deeply appreciated.  We are hoping to help Korey to offset the financial expenses of this extremely difficult journey.

This Go-Fund-Me page has been created as the most practical way for Korey and his family to make use of your support.  These funds will go towards treatments, bills, gas, meals, and continued support for the future.

Korey is the youngest of 4 siblings - Kathy Cotton, Kevin Cotton, Kendall Cotton (twin). His parents Bruce Cotton (Dad), Maureen MacLean (Mom), Harry Maclean (Step Dad), and Colin Cotton (Son)
have been walking hand and hand through this journey together. 

To know him is to love him, whether it was growing up collecting volkswagens or spending time around horses and enjoying the farm life, being an amazing Dad, a loving sibliing and son, being a good neighbour, or simply a kind friend.  Those of us lucky enough to know him are truly blessed to have him in our lives!
